It’s a New Day

I got myself the Sims 3 for PC over the weekend and actually installed it today. It gave me headache as it kept crashing and restarting my PC. Turns out my PC is too old for the game and I didn’t realize it.

In the end though I managed to play the game.. and cheat! haha.. but I didn’t save anything yet ’cause I wasn’t happy with the designs, characters and traits. But if I continued playing, I will be up until tomorrow morning so I’m updating my blog instead and will go to bed soon after.

Sunday afternoon I met up with my cousin, shoppin’ and gossipin’ around and had great dinner. I’ve pictures of the food but I do not know how to upload it since it’s in the device and not the memory card. So for now, here’s us:

I love how Canada’s Next Top Model show did Linsay’s eyes in Episode 4. She’s from the city where I live btw, I just found out.. xD Go Linsay!! Err no, go Maryam!! I love her more.. xx

Out of The Lines

Sunday Night I went to eat at Duck King. I love ducks and so I kept nagging, begging at my dad to take me to this lovely restaurant at Pondok Indah Mall. Unfortunately they changed my favorite drink. I used to love this Strawberry Iced Tea, where they basically served teas with strawberries in it. Now, there ain’t no strawberries. They use strawberry syrup to create the flavor in the tea

I had my outfit picture taken but I don’t think it’s good enough, so instead I am posting my eye make-up picture.

Today’s Blabs

I’ve been abandoning Livin’ in Oil Country for years.. lol.. sorry.. but yeah I’ve been too addicted to Pet Society.. trying not too.. but anyways, let me start with blogging again by today’s blabs..

Today my happiness beats my pains. Last night I had to pack.. but I am the kind of person that loves the pressure of packing last minutes.. makes me more focused.. stupid I know, ’cause I got stressed out and in the end things went wrong.

Anyhows, last night I just decided on a suitcase, laid out clothes I was planning to take and went to sleep. My eyes were so heavy and I knew I needed lots of sleep ’cause Friday was gonna be a long day for me: Lunch, MAC in Mode.. big possibility in shopping and hangin’ out, then at 10pm flying to Singapore.

I woke up at 9, feeling tired still but got up anyway. Then I was just chilling.. playing with my pet on pet society, checking the new items.. until 11 am I went to take a quick shower ’cause I had lunch appointment with a friend at 1 and had to leave at 12. Then the last 30 minutes at home I was trying to finalize my packing as well as my make up. By 12, the suitcase was out ready to be traveled. As for make up, I didn’t wanna do a heavy one so I just lined my eyes with eyeliner and put mascara on.

I got to Grand Indonesia at 1 and went window shopping since my friend wasn’t there yet. I entered Forever 21 to see what it looks like and compare it to the one in Edmonton. It’s not too bad actually.. some simple things are quite overpriced I thought, but I actually plan to come back and buy some denims. They’re not that bad, around IDR 200-300k, and the store actually looked nice, clean and neat. More sophisticated than the one in Edmonton. Plus I’ve got friends who love fashion as much as I do.. if not more, so I can easily drag one of them there.

1:30 pm. My friend and I went to have lunch at food court. Few months back when I went for lunch in GI, I was eyeing this soto mie but I didn’t get it ’cause I bought something else. I got that today and was speechless.. soooo gooooooood..

2:00 pm. We went upstairs to the MAC in Mode venue.. The artists were still doing preparations and I was given a notebook with plain faces in it to be drawn on and some goodies. I got a lustre lipstick called Gilty Kiss.. and a lipglass Real Desire. The color of Gilty Kiss doesn’t come out on my lips but I love how its texture makes my lips glow and shimmery. Real Desire, I HEART. It’s sparkling deep red, luscious!

These faces are all over my notebook.. they’re plain though.. good enough for me to practice my skills.. lol..

The workshop itself was good although it was a bit distracting since 2 artists were doing different makeovers at the same time. But I got their ideas. The artists were John Stapleton from the US and Darwin Tse from Indonesia. I heard John was quite timide so he was just doing his thing without much talking. Darwin.. he’s fun. One thing I learned from him, accept yourself just the way you are.. lol.. I gotta hear that from a make up artist. Today, someone asked about Indonesians don’t have sharp noses and she wanted to make up one. John tried to answer the question but Darwin was just trying hard not too laugh.. To me, it was hilarious..

I also got a voucher I had to spend on the same day. So after the workshop, I went to MAC store which was sooo crowded. I was contemplating what to get.. I wanted a moisturelush (moisturizer from lightful range), a strobe cream and a mineralize skinfinish (MSF). Lightful range is not available in North America.. the skincare is now, but only at pro stores. However, my skin responds pretty good to drugstore skincares, so the moisturelush could be skipped. Strobe cream is a cream for instant glow.. like those MUAs put on J.Lo. It can be used on the back and legs to show their glow off. I’ll buy it one day before I walk on a red carpet.. lol. MSF.. I don’t really need a foundation, as experts says I’ve got great skin.. But I’ve been wanting to have this MSF for awhile. It’s compact and simple and doesn’t seem so heavy like liquid foundies and I can use it for less special occasions. Whatever, I bought it, in Medium Dark.

I got to airport around 7:30, realized I was hungry. I checked in, did fiscal thing, immigration then I went to have “nasi goreng sosis” as dinner. Couldn’t wait that long for airplane food, eh.. I fell asleep short after I boarded the plane. Woke up when they served food.. didn’t eat.. but got frightened by turbulence that went from bad to worse. At one point I was thinking “I wanna get out”.. at one point I was thinking about my husband.. at one point I thought my life was going to end.. at one point I was thinking about the plane that landed on Hudson River.. But I was trying to be calm and still ’cause I saw the flight attendants were still standing, serving drinks. When it was finally over I thought to myself “so that was how the plane crash victims must have felt before the worst happened”.

Got to Singapore at 1:30, dropped off at the hotel around 2:30.. Trying to play with my pets on PS but the server is being unfriendly.. Anyways, not a biggy.. I guess I am just happy to still be here..

I actually want to write about the concert but I still have to compose the words.. And I want to post Yesterday’s Outfit but I didn’t get a good picture of it yet.. So for now I’ll just present you Yesterday’s FOTD

From Paris with Love

My dad just got back from Paris.. and here’s what I ordered:

Cargo Beach Blush in Tenerife a-two-in-one blush and bronzer. So pretty and it’s matte so I am really curious of how it turns out. Don’t know when I’m gonna really touch it though. The blush is so pretty in its packaging.

And MAC’s Beauty Powder in Flower Mist Dew. It’s from their newest collection, the Emmanuel Ungaro’s. It’s a pretty soft pinkish powder. I am not really sure on how to use it though, lol (don’t worry, I’m asking around).

Last but ain’t least, not from Paris, but with a big big L.O.V.E. .. Blackberry Curve (I think it’s the 8330 one) in coal.

It isn’t new but since my dad has it and he doesn’t use it, he asked me if I wanted it. Why not?! Heheh.. I wanted Bold before. But since I don’t need it, I thought I’d wait until I am working. But heck, curve is pretty.. and LC uses it in some Hills’ episodes. I’ll just get the colorful skins so my personality stands out.

Z was gonna get me Bold.. and my dad said “I’ll swap my blackberry with your bold”.. lol, sorry Dad, I am gonna top the money up to fund Acura MDX..

Suite Array

This is insane  Another MAC collection (of course!!) came out: Suite Array, consists of 8 eyeshadow duo and 8 pearlglide liner.

What’s more insane.. is that the collection comes out when I’m not there  So I can’t run to MAC in Southgate to do some swatches and then have plenty of time to decide which item I am going to get.

I’m so disappointed that this pretty collection comes out when I am not in Canada. Those blue and green and any other color in the duo shadows look so pretty. And the pearlglide.. Ahh I remember swatching smoothliner from Annabelle Cosmetics and I think the pearlglide is a little similar to that. It’s so smooth.. that’s why it’s called glide..

I’m drooling to check out the shadows myself. Since I can’t, I am counting on swatches on Specktra. Lushious Babe has provided some great swatches photos. Shallow v. deep is my favorite color, an aqua blue and jewel blue – and so I probably won’t get it ’cause I have both colors already in my eyeshadow collection. Rose suites looks good.. I’m not a fan of pink eyeshadow but the magenta part looks so nice.

And so probably I’m getting the liners. Bankroll has this gorgeous green color, Fly-by-Blu has very nice dark blue color and Rave is a beautiful purple, all contain some sparks. I can’t wait to go back to Canada

TIFF & Its Fashion

Ahh I wish I lived in Toronto. I could’ve worked for Toronto International Film Festival,or at least attend the fest.

I watched the news today and some familiar faces (thanks to big screen) appeared: Anne Hathaway, Sandra Oh, Rachel McAdams, Jennifer Aniston (oh how I heart her) and Kate Beckinsale.

Of course, they are not the only ones.. Gerard Depardieu, Alessandro Nivola, Rose McGowan, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jim Sturgess, Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Kevin Zegers, Benicio del Toro, Amanda Peet, Scott Speedman and many more.. Even Paris Hilton (surprisingly!!) and Amberley Thiessen (Canadian Idol top something) were there..

As a festival of glamor took place, attention went to the outfit of the ladies. Surely the men wore designers’ garment.. but since all men outfit look the same, there was no big deal about that.. Honestly, do you remember what Daniel Day-Lewis was wearing when he won the Oscar last year vs Halle Berry’s dress when she won 6 years ago? Men never have best suit while there’s always best dress for the ladies. Halle Berry was one of them. She wore gorgeous dress by Elie Saab.

Anywhoo, back to topic. This year, all eyes are on Rose McGowan’s shoes and Kate Beckinsale’s dress. I didn’t notice how short McGowan was (oh yeah I am not that tall either, lol) until I saw these shoes. Apparently she’s only 5′4″and with these heels I think she turned to 5′7″. Nice try..

As for Kate, she won the best dress chosen by the media. Look at this beautiful baby doll dress with a little frock.

See the cute details: Roses embroidery and big mirrored beads. Plus a pair of metallic pumps to complement the dress. Stunning!!

Guess who designed it? Elie Saab!! Yyyeeeapp, it’s the same designer that created 2002’s Oscar Winner’s dress. Saab is just waaaayy too brilliant..

FOTD, NOTD

LOL.. what a wish.. The last thing I wrote on my last blog, I was waiting for my paint pots package from New York. I expected it’d take another week.. Apparently it came several hours after my blog was published. What are the odds!!

Yayy I was so happy.. and am still happy that I get to have Otherworldly and Pharaoh paint pots. These two paint pots are extremely incredibly beautiful to the point of gonjreng, lol. And so the next two days I put full eye make up on, with my babies as the main character =D

And I bought a new nail polish. I think I’m getting a bit bored with make up (I’ll talk about that later).. maybe not.. ’cause I went to save on foods to get NYX terracotta blush. Since they didn’t have it, I ended up with something else.. (oh yeah, of course *rolleyes*). I present you, South Sea NYX nail polish.

Just playing around with my addiction. It makes my mood happy and blows my mind away from thinking about ‘living alone’ for several days – my dear husband is leaving tomorrow to Ontario until Friday =(

I haven’t updated for awhile.. excuse my laziness and cold.. Anyways, it’s been awhile but I just want to share my new bundle of joy.. lol.. These came last week

from California: Dollymix Blush and Passionate Eyeshadow (both are used, I sanitized them afterwards)

2nd image:

from Arizona: NYX eyeshadows in Antique Gold and Iced Mocha, MAC pigment sample in Green Brown and a sample of Blinc eyeliner. This was actually an MUA swap Maderine. I only wanted Antique Gold and Iced Mocha but she included lots of extras – that, made me feel a bit guilty lol.

I love my new goodies!! Crescent is so pretty on my lips. It’s a frost l/g with golden bronze and shimmer. I just don’t like the way it’s so sticky though. I love using my NYX shadows for daily natural looks. I haven’t used my Electro Sky ’cause it just looks so pretty in its packaging, lol.

I’m currently waiting on other 3 packagings.. 3 Paint Pots from the US (on its way), some earrings (these are actually my friend’s), and some NYX goodies (swapping, I sent first, my token is still less than 10)..
